The ECO4 scheme is a government-backed energy efficiency programme aimed at reducing carbon emissions and tackling fuel poverty. It provides eligible households with free energy upgrades, such as loft insulation, boiler replacement, and solar panels, following a whole-house approach to improve energy performance.
GBIS is a separate scheme focused specifically on insulation improvements for homes with poor energy efficiency (EPC rating D–G). It’s designed to help lower-income households or those with high heating costs access free or subsidised loft and wall insulation.

In most cases, no. If you qualify, the upgrades are fully funded through the ECO4 or GBIS scheme. In very rare cases, a small contribution may be required, but we will always explain this clearly before proceeding.
Once your eligibility is confirmed, we typically arrange a free home survey within 7 days, and installations can often be completed within 2–4 weeks, depending on the work required.
Yes. Tenants in privately rented properties may qualify with the landlord's consent. We also work with landlords to help them improve their property’s energy efficiency — in line with government EPC requirements.
